Tired of battling daily pain? Wondering why nothing seems to work? You’re not alone — and recovery is possible!
After using the mind body approach to heal my own chronic pain I am now dedicated to helping others to do the same.
In a nutshell.
The danger signal in our brains can be activated due to a number of factors including stress, injury, illness or trauma. Although not always initiated in childhood, when early trauma and other adverse events happen this can lead to to the generalised feeling of being “unsafe” which sensitizes the danger/alarm signal and can predispose us to develop neural circuit disorders with similar or other stressful life events. The activation of this alarm/neural circuit can lead to symptoms which can cause further fear, worry and stress which contributes to the continual cycle of activation of the ‘unsafe’ danger signal which causes more pain and ongoing symptoms. The base of this work is to communicate safety to the nervous system through education and with the use of other psychotherapeutic modalities.
